Dr Abel Rwendeire, the Deputy Chairperson of the National Planning Authority, has died.
Rwendeire succumbed to a heart attack Thursday.
He served as the junior minister in the dockets of industry and education.
His most recent assignment was heading a visitation committee investigating woes of Makerere University.

2002- 2006: Managing Director, United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), in Vienna, Austria.
July 2008: Joined National Planning Authority (NPA)
2016-17: Head Makerere Visitation Committee.
