Standard Chartered Holds Grand Client Draw for its “Live the Anfield Dream” Campaign

Standard Chartered on Thursday held the grand final client draw for its “Live the Anfield Dream” Personal Loan campaign at Standard Chartered Lugogo Mall Branch.

The campaign offered the bank’s clients access Personal Loans at slashed interest rates of 18.9% with repayment holiday of up to 75 days.

The campaign was aligned to Liverpool Football Club’s 125th anniversary celebration, for which Standard Chartered Bank has been a sponsor since July 2010.

The winners will experience the magic of Anfield by receiving a fully paid trip for two to watch a match in Anfield as well as receive Liverpool FC – Standard Chartered merchandise.

The first draw was held in December and mR. Barnabas Tumusingize, a lawyer at Sebalu&Lule who has banked with Standard Chartered for over 20 years.

The last two winners that were announced at the grand finale were Pius Ahimbisibwe and Mathias Balaba.

Speaking at the draw., Israel Arinaitwe, Head of Retail Banking congratulated the winners and thanked the clients who took part in the campaign.

“We have received an overwhelming response since this campaign which started in October 2017. It had affordable loan repayments of up to 72 months and a break of 75 days before the first loan installment repayment gave our clients financial flexibility during the end of year festivities, into the new year,” Arinaitwe said.

“We would also like to appreciate our clients for supporting the great club of Liverpool. As sponsors, we are privileged to associate with the club and all it has achieved in its 125 years of existence and pledge to continue celebrating their success,” he added.

With this campaign that ended on 31st, January 2018, every client who took a personal loan of UGX 20m qualified for a coupon that got them into the grand draw where 3 winners stood a chance to experience the “Anfield Dream”.

These all-expense paid trips for two include; return tickets, three days and three nights in Liverpool at Hilton Hotel, two match tickets, Anfield Stadium tour, Melwood tour, Beatles story visit and museum tour.

Standard Chartered Bank has in the past run exciting marketing campaigns like “Grandsale”, “One Life” savings campaign, “Road to Anfield” campaign, “Repayment Holiday” campaigns and the famous “Yola Omudidi” campaign where it handed vehicles to lucky winners.
