Uganda’s opposition kingpin Dr Kizza Besigye has Wednesday met with opposition members of parliament.
The meeting took place in the boardroom of the Leader of Opposition at Parliament.
Although it was held in private, this website understands that was the meeting was summoned to resolve differences that had emerged from the 2016 general elections.
However while speaking to journalists, Besigye said the meeting was not about their differences.
“We were sitting to discuss how to assert the will of our people that was given to us in the election,” he stated.
MPs Ssemujju Nganda, Gerald Karuhanga, Mubarak Munyagwa and Robert Centenary among others were in attendance.
