Ethiopian Prime Minister Arrives in Uganda for 2-Day State Visit

Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed Ali has arrived in Uganda for a 2-day state Visit.

He was received by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at Entebbe State House.

Dr Abiy Ahmed who is the 12th Prime Minister of Ethiopia, will be chief guest at tomorrow`s Heroe`s day celebrations at Birembo Sub county, in Kakumiro District .

He will also be decorated with the Pearl of Africa Grand Master medal.

President Museveni and Dr Abiy Ahmed will discuss enhancement of bilateral cooperation frameworks btn the two countries among other things.

Bilateral trade between the two countries is currently at $1m (about Sh3.6b)

The two countries trade in textiles, leather products, crafts, jewellery and food stuffs.

Uganda has proposed a joint business forum to identify trade opportunities between the two countries.
