Police to Arrest ‘Nude’ Makerere Girls

Police in Kampala is currently looking for any information that could lead to the arrest of two Makerere University Final year students for promotion of pornography and walking almost naked.

The two students whose names remain unknown belong to Makerere University’s school of education.

According to pictures that came out on social media, the two ladies are seen dressed in revealing “rags”. They were reportedly attending a school finalists dinner at Fairway hotel in Kampala.

According to Makerere Chief Security Officer Jackson Mucunguzi, the actions of the two ladies are criminal contrary to the Anti-Pornography Act 2014.

“A General Inquiry file (GEF) has been opened at Makerere university community policing station based more on Anti Pornography Act and university management disciplinary issues,” said Mucunguzi.

“As police we condemn such behaviors moreover from intellectual class especially from the premier university in Africa. Anybody with any relevant info about these two suspects whatsApp me on 0701400668 as we build for the future,” he added.

The Anti Pornography Act which was enacted in 2014 received a lot of criticism from feminists and women activists who claimed that it’s infringing on rights of women.
