Uganda is now top of Group L in the 2019 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers after scooping 3 points on their away match to Cape Verde.
The match that was to be played on Saturday (June 10) was postponed to Sunday evening after the Uganda Cranes failed to arrive in Cape Verde on time.
The match, whose first half ended with a goal-less draw, saw the Cranes leading the game in the second half when Geoffrey Sserunkuma, who entered as a substitute, scored a winning goal for Uganda in the 83rd minute.
When the 2019 AFCON Qualifiers games resume in Match 2018, Uganda will be hosting Tanzania in Group L.
The winner in the group will directly qualify for the 2019 AFCON which will be held in Cameroon.
