A date has been set for the hearing of a case in which renowned movie translator Marysmats Matovu popularly known as VJ Junior is accused of translating and circulating pornographic movies contrary to the Anti-Pornography Law.
On May 23, State Minister for Ethics and Integrity Fr Simon Lokodo ordered the arrest of
VJ Junior and his colleague Geoffrey Bbosa after the minister received several complaints that the two were circulating pornographic movies.
The duo was charged with “illegal distribution, sale and production of films, music videos and pornographic material,” contrary to the Anti-pornography Act.
Now Buganda Road Court has set July 11 as hearing date for the case.
