City celebrities and well-wishers on Saturday (June 1st, 2017) flocked Panamera Bar in Naguru, Kampala to take part in ailing Ugandan music producer Danz Kumapeesa’s car wash fundraiser.
The producer was in June this year admitted at St Francis Hospital Nsambya after being beaten up by unknown thugs. The car wash fundraiser was organized to raise funds for his treatment.
According to one of the organizers of the fundraiser, a total sum of Shs 7,799,400 was collected at the car wash. This was raised through a number of activities including car washing, sale of t-shirts and individual contributions.
Danz kumapeesa’s brother who identified himself as Isaac Chris revealed that the producer is responding well to treatment
“He’s in better condition now and needs to get out of intensive care but we need to clear the bill first,” he said.
Some of the popular figures that attended the car wash include; Kyadondo East MP-elect and singer Bobi Wine, Galaxy FM’s Andrew Kyamagero, DJ Nimrod and Mr Mosh, Comedian Patrick Idringi ‘Salvado’ and NTV’s Douglas Lwanga.
Musicians including Juliana Kanyomozi, Irene Ntale, Aziz Azion and Ykee Benda among others were also present.
