Nkwasiibwe Alex, the Radio West presenter who died at the weekend will be laid to rest today at Nyarurambi, Mparo in Kabale district.
Popularly referred to as “Kyakabale’, the presenter succumbed to heart failure.
He had reportedly been battling with the condition for three years.
He died at the age of 43 and is survived by a widow and two children.
On Sunday, a requiem mass was held at All Saints Church, Mbarara.
His workmates, friends and relatives described him as hardworking, brilliant and funny.
Mayor Robert Kakyebezi who once was worked with Kyakabale in the ‘Owakunga aheeru’ programme said the fallen presenter was ‘energetic and a hero’.
Kakyebezi was Kyakabale’s best man.
The widow said he knew her husband was in a better place in heaven.
May Kyakabale’s soul rest in peace.
