President Yoweri Museveni has joined the 10th Parliament, relatives and friends in mourning fallen Iganga District Woman MP Grace Hailat Kaudha Magumba.
Kaudha early on Saturday morning succumbed to preeclampsia, a type of high blood pressure common in pregnant women.
Museveni in his condolence message described the deceased legislator as “a rising star who will greatly be missed”.
The President’s message was read by Hon. Esther Mbayo, the Minister for the Presidency at Iganga Municipal Council Primary School where the body was delivered for public viewing on Sunday.
“We shall always be grateful for the great role she played towards the development of this country. We are sorry to have lost a rising star,” President Museveni’s message read in part.
Hon. Kaudha was later laid to rest at Magogo village in Nawaningi Sub-county, Iganga District.
