Ugandan Paralympic athlete David Emong on Saturday evening won gold at the ongoing World Para Athletics Championship in London.
The 2016 Paralympic silver medalist emerged winner in the T46 1500m race.
Emong completed the race in 3 minutes 58 seconds and 36 micro-seconds, beating defending champion Samir Nouioua of Algeria.
This is not the first time Emong is shining; He won Uganda’s first Paralympics silver medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Just like at the 2016 Rio Paralypics, Emong was the Uganda’s only representative at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championship in London.
