Embattled former Public service ministry permanent secretary Jimmy Lwamafa, principal accountant Christopher Obey and commissioner for pensions Stephen Kiwanuka Kunsa have been sent back to Luzira Prisons on remand.
The trio was granted bail by Court of Appeal Court of Appeal only last week.
They will now be held at Luzira until the re-hearing of their bail application in the Anti-corruption Court next month.
The three public ministry officials are charged with stealing Shs 15bn pension cash.
They are also challenging a sentence by the Anti-corruption Court where Justice Lawrence Gidudu sent them to seven, 10 and five years in jail respectively for Lwamafa, Obey and Kunsa, for embezzling Shs 88bn NSSF pension cash.
Court today asked for more time, arguing that the prosecutors strike that lasted a week had affected court’s work.
