The post-mortem report for fallen former Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) national chairman Maj (Rtd) Edward Rurangaranga has been released.
Rurangaranga’s body has also been transported from Mbarara Referral Hospital mortuary where it had been taken for post-mortem.
Post-mortem results show that the veteran politician died of hypertension.

Before he collapsed dead, the veteran politician had eulogised a fallen friend at a funeral in Ntungamo district.
He would later complain of weakness and tiredness before collapsing dead hours later.
Rurangaranga collapsed dead at his home in Kitagata in the western Uganda district of Sheema.
The veteran politician was one of two-time Uganda president Apollo Milton Obote’s blue-eyed boys, winning him support in Ankole region.
