“These foreign artistes from Nigeria and elsewhere fear me,” these were words of popular Ugandan reggae and dancehall musician Alexander Bagonza better known by his stage name, A Pass.
A Pass was speaking on Galaxy FM’s early morning show, ‘Morning Saga’ on Friday when he revealed that many foreign artistes are intimidated by his exceptional music talent.
“They listen to my music online like on BBC Xtra and other platforms and approach me for collabos but whenever I record my part of the song, they fear to record theirs and release project because they think I will outmatch them,” A Pass said.
“One quick example is Nigerian singer Kayswitch, he flew in to work with me on a collabo but after I recorded my verse, he has never released the song up to now. Instead he decided to do collabos with Pallaso,” A Pass added.
The “Gamululu” hit maker also mentioned Nigerian singers Runtown and Endia as some of the others that have never released his collabos with them till date.
“You know me when it comes to collabos, I don’t play around; I always kill it,” the singer bragged.
A Pass has a number of successful international collabos including “Gamululu Remix”, a collabo with Jamaican singer Konshens and “High Remix” featuring Nigeria’s Shaydee among others.
