Revelers were treated to a notable experience as Nigerian sensation Seyi Shay and Rabadaba put up riveting performances during the 17th edition of Blankets and Wine Kampala that is powered by Tusker Malt Lager and organized by House of Deejays.
The picnic-style event that brings the best Afro-based musical festival took place at Lugogo Cricket Oval on the 20th August, 2017 with gates opening at 12pm. People turned up to watch acts from talented artistes such as; Joil Sebunjo, Shifa Musisi, T Bro, Lagum, General Czar’bu and Burkina Faso’s Alif Naaba.
Youngster rapper, Lagum, had a memorable show as he debuted at Blankets and Wine Kampala.
Shifa Musisi got the revelers dancing to her afro-beat jams while T Bro thrilled the fans with his famous Rukiga flow style. General Czar’bu added a reggae feel to the event as he performed some of his songs including Engeri Y’okukwaana.
As the night fell, music mixes from DJ Aludah were a welcome experience as he teamed up with DJ Naselow to get the fans dancing.
By the time Seyi Shay came on stage, the revelers were ready and they danced and sang along to her energetic performance of popular songs such as; Right now, Murda, Jangilova, Killin’ Me Softly among many others. She later invited Ugandan rapper, Timothy Code and they performed a collaboration of one of their songs.
Rabadaba who was to be the day’s main act did not disappoint as he put up a memorable show that got revelers dancing and singing to his popular hit songs.
A display of amazing elegant fashion by revelers was also notable during the event.
