2 Police Officers, 2 Civilians Shot Dead in Separate Attacks in Kampala, Wakiso

Four people have been reported dead from attacks at the weekend in Kampala and Wakiso.

The deceased include two police officers and a civilian.

Saturday night, unknown gunmen attacked and killed two police officers and injured scores in an attack at Denovo Bread Company workers at Kalerwe in Kampala.

The deceased officers have been identified as SPC Mubiru and SPC Moses Karungi.

The driver of a Toyota Noah car in which the company’s workers were travelling was later pronounced dead after sustaining injuries from the attacks.

The deceased driver has been identified as Kasirye Ssengozi.

In Wakiso District’s Kira Division, a reveller was shot dead at Oceanic Bar early Sunday morning.

The deceased, only identified as David, was shot by a private security officer guarding the bar.

In yet another incident, gunmen raided Mponye Police Post in Kabalagala, a Kampala suburb and took away with a gun.

The rate of crime in Wakiso and Kampala has increased in recent times with at least 20 women losing lives in the municipalities of Nansana and Entebbe in recent times.
