Airtel Uganda has announced a new partnership with Vivo Energy in a bid to expand the Airtel Money Agent network.
The partnership will see over60 Shell service stations give Airtel Uganda subscribers the opportunity to seamlessly withdraw or deposit money using Airtel Money, reaffirming Airtel Uganda’s purpose of not only providing affordable and reliable telecommunications services but also innovating solutions to better their subscribers’ lives and communities.
Speaking on behalf of Vivo Energy, Mr. Gilbert Assi the Managing Director Vivo Energy said, “We are always finding new ways to add convenience for our customers, making their visits to our service stations more rewarding and relevant. Our partnership today with Airtel affirms our objective to continuously offer innovative solutions to our growing number of customers. This service increases the number of points available for customers to conduct their money transactions in a secure and reliable environment.”
The Airtel Uganda Managing Director, Mr. V.G. Somasekhar thanked the management and staff at Vivo for being innovative and credible partners and encouraged Airtel Uganda subscribers to utilize this service introduced for their convenience.

This partnership is in line with our customer promise of ensuring our Airtel money services are available countrywide. The Shell – Airtel Money Promotion will run for two months and customers who transact over UGX 15,000 will instantly win airtime.Those who transact over UGX 1 million will automatically be entered into a draw to win free fuel or shopping vouchers worth UGX 50,000, to be used at Shell service stations.
