The inaugural loud Rave Concert is set to take place this Friday (29th September, 2017) at the Kyadondo Rugby Grounds in Kampala.
The concert is organized by Love loud, an organization that seeks to empower youth between 18-30 years through training and networking.
The concert will be headlined by celebrated Gospel reggae-dancehall stars Badman Sobre from Zambia, Agent Snypa from Nigeria, Dafari from Kenya and Positive from Trinidad and Tobago as wells as deejays like Spirit FM’s DJ Awor among others.
Speaking at a press conference held on Wednesday morning at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds in Kampala, the stars, except Positive who arrived in the country on Friday morning, all promised to put up energetic performances at the concert.
The show will also feature renowned Ugandan gospel musicians like Levixone, Coopy Bly and Zabuli among others.
Solomon Kisakye the Love Loud Brand and Communication Manager, while speaking at the press conference, said that “Love Loud aims at changing youths mindsets as a sure formula to changing lives”.
“Our belief is that those who have been there should be in touch with those who want to be there as a way to save time and build lasting relationships, and sustainable development. We believe that the gap has always been in mentorship,” he added.
He also noted that the concert is not strictly a gospel gather but an open place for all people to meet and network.
“We want to stretch this event as far as we can. It’s not only for gospel, everyone is welcome,” he said.
The first 30 people to arrive at the show will each get Uber Credit following the partnership between Love Loud and Uber, a taxi operating in Uganda.
Tickets are going for 20,000 ordinary and 50,000 VIP.
