News reaching us indicates that NTV Uganda’s ‘The Beat’ show host Douglas Lwanga has been selected as one of the producers of God Father East Africa.
God Father East Africa is a new East African version of Big Brother scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya in 2018.
The God Father East Africa house/flat, which will have contestants from 4 East African countries; Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, will last for a period of 3 months.
The winners and on such dates to be determined by the Producers in their sole discretion, the winner shall walk-away with Kshs. 2,500,000 (equivalent to UGX. 85 million and Tzshs. 50million).
According to the organizers, the contestants shall have little or no privacy in the GFEA house, due to the extensively outfitted video cameras and audio recording devices which will record, broadcast and exhibit their actions and voices at all times, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week in every room of the house for the duration of each one of their participation in the show.
The organizers further explained that the contestants will be observed at all times by both the Producers as well as the general public watching live on television, the Internet, mobile devices and all other media across the whole world.
Only two finalists will receive prizes, but a weekly draw shall be conducted for each participant for each week that he or she remains in the God Father East Africa flat.
Voting will be done by the general public, who will vote by help of each participants’ code during the ongoing broadcast of the show. During the elimination stages, live events shall be organized weekly and shall involve the Public participating all through until the eviction stages where members shall decide who to stay in the house or leave.
The organizers have revealed to this website that the application process for the GFEA 2018 house has commenced and is free of charge.
An applicant must however be at least 21 years of age at the time of the application and must be a member of the East African community (a citizen who lives in one of the selected countries namely; Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda & Tanzania). One must also be in excellent physical and mental health.
The first (1) auditions shall take place in ; Nairobi, Kampala, Kigali and Dar es salaam, respectively on dates to be communicated by the producers after the deadline date of the submission of applications in January.
Second auditions and selection days will take place in Nairobi, Kenya on dates that will also be communicated by the producers.
The GFEA2018 House will run under the theme, ‘Natural Faces’.
