Last Saturday (December 2, 2017) was no ordinary one for Ykee Benda fans as the sensational singer put up a massive album listeners’ party at Fame Bar and Lounge, Kampala.
Dubbed, “Kireka boy” the album has 17 songs including “Muna Kampala”, “Malaika”, “Byonkola” , “Superman” ,“Eva”, “Farmer”, ”Byonkola” among others. On some songs on the album, he collaborated with fellow musicians, Sheebah Karungi and Fefe Busi.
Uganda’s comedian Patrick Idringi aka Salvador was the MC of the Bell Lager powered listeners’ party which that attracted a huge crowd.
Ykee Benda, the man of the night stepped on stage a few minutes to 9:00pm and took the crowd through his entire album.
This was followed by performances from “Jemimah the Gladiator”, and popular dancer Eddie Wizzy.
The “Muna Kampala” hit maker later returned and put up an energetic live performance of his hit songs like “Malaika” and “Superman” among others.
His performance fired up the crowd and kept them on their feet the entire time, most especially the ladies.
The listeners’ party which was graced by celebrities like Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool, Lydia Jazmine and Fille to mention but a few, ended a few minutes to midnight.
