Sweden-based Ugandan singer Hanson Baliruno on Sunday evening held an end of year party at Protea Hotel in Kampala.
Hanson Baliruno started his music career at the age of 10 as a gospel singer in church Choir.
He joined gospel musician Judith Babirye in 2009 but later in 2011 he went to Sweden for further studies and while there, he continued to groom his talent.
The singer’s End of Year party which was hosted by NTV Uganda’s ‘The Beat’ show host Douglas Lwanga, was attended by friends, relatives, producers, songwriters, fellow singers, media personalities and fans.
Among the notable figures that graced the party was, producer Nessim Pan Production, celebrity stylists/ designers Joe Malaika and Kim Swagga, singers Nince Henry and Evelyn Lagu, NTV’s Bettinah Tiana to mention but a few.
With a red carpet affair, the night kicked off at around 8:00PM with a profile of Hanson Baliruno and videos showing his performances in Europe. Meanwhile drinks and bites were flowing in, with each guest ordering for their favorite.
Hanson would then get on stage and put up a powerful live band performance of his songs as the guests danced along.
One of the moments that cannot go unmentioned was when the Stars Empire singer performed his latest song “Njaga”, which turned out to be the guest’s favorite. Well as some had listened to it before, others were hearing it for the first time and fell in love with it right away.
During his performance, Hanson extended his gratitude to different people in their capacities for their support in his music career and promised to make even more good music.
The party ended at around 11:30PM
