Police has arrested one suspect for assault on popular Ugandan singer Moses Ssekibogo aka Mozey Radio of the GoodLyfe duo Radio and Weasel on the night of Monday, 22nd January 2018.

Radio is currently on life support at Case Clinic’s Intensive Care Unit after he was assaulted, hitting his head on the ground. Reports indicate that he broke is neck and also got an injury on the skull.

According to the singer’s management, police has in its custody a one Egesa George and is currently searching for his accomplice.

Egesa is the proprietor of De Bar, a nightspot in Entebbe where Radio was assaulted.

Managament in a press statement narrated the incident that led to Radio’s condition.

“Between 9pm and 9:30pm on Monday night, Moses was subjected to a very serious and unprovoked assault by an employee or associate of Egesa George. There had been an exchange of words, and Moses was exiting the bar to return to Kampala when the as-yet-unidentified assailant viciously attacked him. This resulted in a severe brain injury that required urgent medical attention,” the statement reads in part.

“Moses was taken to Emmanuel Clinic, Entebbe Road, then transferred by ambulance to Nsambya Hospital and finally transferred by ambulance to Case Hospital, Buganda Road where it was decided that he would undergo emergency brain surgery. His surgery took place between 2:30am and 5:30am of 23rd January 2018.”

Management also clarified that contrary to gossip surrounding the singer’s condition, he is alive and in a stable, comfortable condition within the Intensive Care Unit.

This website understands that Radio and Weasel’s legal team will be pursuing charges of attempted murder against the accused.
