Richard Kassaga, a defender for Uganda top tier league club URA FC has Monday morning survived a fatal accident in Kira, sustaining minor injuries on legs and arms.
The defender was reportedly headed to Gayaza for his morning training ahead of the Uganda Premier League Match Day 24 on Wednesday.
Preliminary reports say that Kassaga rammed head on into a truck that was coming from the opposite side.
He has since been rushed to Maria Health Centre in Kira.
URA is scheduled to face UPDF on Wednesday April 4th in Bombo.
