Police has Tuesday confirmed the arrest of Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Hon. Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine.
This was confirmed by Police spokesperson Emillian Kayima while addressing journalists on Tuesday afternoon at Police headquarters in Naguru, Kampala.
Bobi Wine’s social media handler last night posted that the legislator had been picked up by the Special Forces Command and that he had been whisked away to an unknown place.
But this couldn’t be independently verified.
But Kayima revealed that Bobi Wine was arrested together with candidate Kasiano Wadri, MP Paul Mwiru and former MP Michael Mabikke.
The quartet is charged with blocking President Museveni’s convoy with a grader with intention to harm him.
By publication time, Kayima was still addressing a press conference and details will follow.
