Top Nigerian standup comedian Bright Okpocha better known by his stagename Basket Mouth has revealed how he enjoys performing in Uganda.

Basketmouth is currently in Uganda as he will be the headlining act at this week’s Comedy Store show which will be held tonight (Thursday August 15th, 2019) at the UMA – Lugogo in Kampala.

While speaking to journalists at a press conference held at Mestil Hostel on Wednesday, the comic noted that the lively Ugandan audience gives him energy while he is on stage.

“I enjoy performing in Uganda because of the big crowds.You guys are great, I just love doing it here. I love the vibe you guys give,” Basketmouth said.

In his remarks, Comedy Store show host Alex Muhangi said that it was an honour to have Baskmouth perform at the weekly show.

“As you all know, Basketmouth is the biggest comedian in Africa. Having him perform at Comedy Store is a big achievement for the show and the fans,” said Alex Muhangi.

Basketmouth will be performing alongside a line-up of Uganda’s finest stand-up comedians like MC Mariach, Madrat & Chiko, Maulana & Reign among others and top singers Spice Diana and John Blaq.
