Seven Rwandan nationals who were freed by the Ugandan Court Martial on Tuesday have been handed over to the Rwandan Ambassador to Uganda, Maj. Gen. Frank Mugambagye for repatriation.
The include; Renne Rututagungira, Bahati Mugenga, Emmanuel Rwamuco, Augustine Rutisiri, Etiene Nsanzabahizi , Charles Byaruhanga and Claude Lyakaleme.
They were handed over by Foreign Affairs Minister Sam Kutesa.
The Rwandan nationals have been in jail since 2017 battling with espionage charges. Rutagungira has been battling charges of abduction. He is a Military Officer in the Rwandan government. He was arrested in 2017 during the Kayihura crisis and was charged with illegal repatriation of Rwandans from Uganda
