“Three cases have tested negative twice after treatment and are being considered for discharge by clinicians,” the director-general of Health Services Dr. Mwebesa has said.
According to Mwebesa, the three will be discharged soon.
3,862 samples have so far been tested for COVID-19 in Uganda.
“538 individuals are under institutional quarantine while 571 contacts to the confirmed cases are under follow up,” Dr Mwebesa said on Thursday.
The government imposed a 14-day lockdown restricting movement, and banning public gatherings, closing borders among other measures. Only four days are left to complete the lockdown. Whether the government will lift the lockdown or extend, we can only wait.
