The two people arrested are; Eria Eria and Farouk Mukwaya, all residents of Namugoona, Rubaga Division, Kampala. The two were according to the Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson SP Patrick Onyango part of the group that blocked the road.
Onyango says the group was mobilized by a politician who is eyeing a seat in parliament.
He added that they have been informed that the group was mobilised by a politician who is intending to contest for Parliamentary elections for Rubaga North.
In a statement, Onyango encouraged people to stay calm.
