Opposition party, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has said they will not unite with anyone ahead of the 2021 elections.
Speaking at a press briefing on Monday at party headquarters in Najjanakumbi, the FDC spokesperson, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, assured that they will fight the battle alone.
“People talk about a coalition but before they come to the table to discuss, they first form their political parties and then they suggest that we, FDC, should join them. Why form a political party if you want to join forces? Why not join an existing political party?”
“I think people should give FDC some respect. If they want a coalition should join us,” he added.
Democratic Party president, Norbert Mao also said recently that he was going to unite.
Different parties have been pushing for a joint candidate against Museveni.
