Former Police spokesperson and current Police Chief Political Commissar AIGP Asan Kasingye has tested positive for Covid19.

The news was revealed by AIGP Kasingye via his Twitter platform on Sunday afternoon.

“Bad News. I am Covid19 positive,” he tweeted.

He however didn’t reveal any further details.

The Tower Post understands that the Police boss is currently self-isolating at home as he waits to get treatment from specialized medical personnel.

Another top government official to test positive for the pandemic is National Physical Planning Board Chairperson Amanda Ngabirano who also revealed her status on Sunday.

““My sense of smell is back. Now I can enjoy my fish. However, I tested positive for COVID-19. I don’t know how we shall survive this virus! It’s allover I guess. I trace mine from Lira. So my dear contacts, please make sure to test and protect your family, friends and workmates,” she posted on her social media channels.

“I have no other symptoms so far…and I pray my body successfully fights it as I self-isolate. Let’s do our best to stay safe…the THING IS REAL!!”
