A cloud of grief is hovering over Kampala partiers especially in the Kiwatule-Najjera area following the untimely death of Nexus bar owner Ivan Kakooza.

Kakooza died on Friday morning at Mulago Hospital where he had been admitted for a number of days.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the young businessman was battling depression and stress related illnesses.

Kakooza’s businesses including the bar and Nexus events were hit hard by the Coronavirus pandemic especially when government   introduced Standard Operating Procedures for #Covid-19 that saw events business and bars closed for over six months.

Further reports indicate that loans from commercial banks which Kakooza had secured in expanding his businesses could have caused much stress leading to his death.

Prior to the National lockdown due to Covid19, Kakooza and his friends were planning a music concert that would feature an international artiste.
