NUP’s Robert Kyagulanyi Duly Nominated to Take On Museveni

National Unity Platform (NUP) Presidential Candidate Robert Kyagulanyi has been duly nominated to challenge Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni in the 2021 general elections.

Kyagulanyi who has been serving as the legislator for Kyadondo East Constituency was declared a presidential candidate at exactly 11:18AM

He becomes the fourth candidate after incumbent Yoweri Museveni, former UPDF Army Commander Gen. Mugisha Muntu Greg and former spy chief Gen. Henry Tumukunde who were nominated yesterday.

Prior to his nomination, Kyagulanyi drove from his home in Magere, passing through Kisaasi, Ntinda and Nakawa townships where he waved and greeted his supporters who were lining up on roads sides to cheer him.

Along his way, there were several incidents where the security forces got involved into scuffles with NUP supporters and tear gas was fired.

Kyagulanyi was accompanied and seconded by his brother and long time Politician Fred Nyanzi, Barbra Itungo his wife, journalist turned politician Joel Ssenyonyi, among many others.
