Youngster Owen Mukisa Kasule has made history for Bul FC as they outwitted Uganda Premier League Champions Express FC to book a slot in the Stanbic Uganda Cup finals.
Kasule’s 26th minute goal ensured that the Jinja side proceed to the finals where they will meet Vipers SC on Sunday September 26th.
Owen’s strike came Midway the first half after he curled the ball past Denis Otim, after a poor clearance by Issa Lumu.
After releasing most of their players, BUL had to play with only two substitutes on bench as the new players were ineligible to play in this game.
The Red Eagles, who were also eliminated from the CAF Champions League a few days ago were full upfront and failed to create enough scoring chances
Charles Musige had the closet chance for the Red Eagles just before the full-time whistle but failed to find the target after coming one on one with Sanon Mulabi.
BUL who had to hold on for the win in the last 10 minutes of the game after relentless attacks by Express, will play Vipers SC in the final on Sunday evening at Njeru.
Vipers eliminated SC Villa in the quarterfinals and sailed past Police FC in the semifinals.
