North Kyoga police have opened an investigation into the death of Nyanga Moses, 49, a resident of Jinja Camp cell, Ojwina Ward Lira city West Division, Lira city.
ASP Jimmy Patrick Okema, the North Kyoga Region Police PRO said in a press briefing on Monday that on the fateful day the deceased went back Home while drunk at an unknown time of the night.
According to his wife after a few hours, he moved out again and never went back inside the house again.
His body was however discovered dangling on a mango tree in their compound.
After discovering what happened, the LC 11 Mr. Okello Sam reported the incident to Lira City West Division Police Headquarters on the 13th November 2022.
Police PRO SP Jimmy Okema however confirmed to our reporter that there was a long standing domestic problem between the deceased and his wife.
He said territorial police CIDs have begun recording statements from the neighbors of Moses Nyanga regarding his death by hanging.
