Uganda Premier League side Gaddafi FC has appointed David Mutono as the new head coach, The-SportsNation can reliably report.
Mutono has inked a two-year deal at the club, awaiting official unveiling.
He replaces Wasswa Bbosa at the Jinja-based side who has since joined newly promoted Mbarara City.
Mutono moves from FUFA Big League side Kyetume FC, a side he helped earn UPL promotion in the 2021/22 season.
But Kyetume did not get a UPL license then after failing to register enough players on the FUFA Connect by the deadline.
Mutono joined Kyetume towards the end of the 2019/20 season, replacing Jackson Mayanja then.
The former Buganda Province head coach has also had spells with Misindye, Soana (now Tooro United) and Seeta United.
His main task will be helping Gaddafi compete for places in upper echelons of the table after the side finished just five points above relegation.
The Club has lost a couple of players including Joel Mutakubwa, Chrispus Kusiima, Sadiq Ssekymbe, Ibrahim Kiyemba, Brian Kalumba, Alex Kitata, Sibira Yunus and Joel Madondo.
