Uganda Premier League side SC Villa is set to unveil their newly signed midfielder Elvis Ngonde.
Ngonde, a free agent after ending his short stay at Gaddafi, started training with the 16-time record League winners.
He has since signed a 5-year contract with the team and will be unveiled soon.
Gaddafi wanted the defensive midfielder to renew his stay.
And Villa has also beaten Kiyovu to his signature where his former coach Hassan Zungu moved.
Ngonde was promoted to the Busoga United senior team from their Junior side in 2021, and has been on a meteoric rise since.
He has featured for St Mary’s SS Kitende in USSA Football competitions and Uganda Cubs (National Boys U17).
In fact, Ngonde scored one of the two goals as Kitende beat St Andrew Kaggwa last year in the Schools final in Arua. Charles Lwanga scored the other.
He is the latest player to leave Gaddafi, a side that has also lost Joel Mutakubwa, Sadiq Ssekyembe, Alex Kitata, Yunus Sibira, Joel Madondo, Brian Kalumba among others.
SC Villa are bolstering their squad after letting go of Sheif Batte, Frank Muna Kalule, Martin Elungat, Pistis Barenge, Fred Agandu, Charles Bbaale and Hassan Musana, Goffin Oyirwoth and Gift Fred.
New signing Denis Ojara picked a long term injury while other new signings include Charles Lwanga, Diego Ssemugera and Cyrus Kibande among others.
