Uganda Premier League defending champions Vipers SC have confirmed the signing of midfielder Allan Okello.
Okello who has been plying his trade with Algerian side Paradou AC was unveiled on Thursday, hours before the venoms took on Arua Hill SC in a highly charged Painters’ Derby.
“I am so happy to join Vipers Sports Club! I am so excited to be here at this big club and l didn’t have to think twice when Vipers called me, l just knew l wanted to sign for the club. I can’t wait to get started with the team,” the former KCCA FC player is quoted by the club as having said.
Okello has been unveiled on transfer deadline day, with the window closing on Thursday 11:59pm.
The Club has been busy in this transfer window, signing Ghanian Fumador Awisome, Mohamed Salim Ekbad, Giancarlo Rodriguez, Luiz Otavio Santos de Araujo alias Tinga, Richard Matovu, David Bagoole, Grant Matsiko and Paul Patrick Mbowa.
Notably, the two Brazilians Giancarlo and Tinga have been let go by the club that failed to return to CAF Champions League.
