The Warrap State Minister of Information, William Wol Mayom has accused Titbaai armed youth from neighboring Abyei Administrative Area for orchestrating the wave of attacks and killings along Malual Aleu road.

“The Titbaai armed youth of Abyei have never ceased their hostilities along the road by laying ambushes and orchestrating targeted killings on Warrap State innocent civilians, especially the farmers and passengers,” said Mayom in a statement issued on Wednesday.

Mayom revealed that the Titbaai armed youth were behind the killing of 7 people Manyang Anyiel village of Warrap State on June 23, 2024.

He also said that 7 civilians killed by Titbaai youth hail from Awan and Aguok communities of Gogrial West County.

He also took a swipe at the Abyei Administrative Area authorities for shielding their youth from blame.

Our attempts to reach Bolis Koch, the Minister of Information for Abyei Special Administrative Area were futile as he failed to reply to repeated calls by press time.

The community of Twic Mayardit in Warrap State has been engaged in violent fights with Ngok Dinka of Abyei Administrative Area over land in the Aneet area. The intermittent violence has killed hundreds of people and destroyed properties.
