Voting for the annual Movie festival on DStv and GOtv has started for MultiChoice Uganda is already underway. Dubbed the DStv and GOtv Viewer’s Choice Movie Festival, this year’s edition will run from Friday October 4th to Sunday 3rd November 2024.
Every year, MultiChoice Uganda gives customers a chance to take control of their entertainment by providing them with the opportunity to vote for Movies that will later be added to a content line-up for them to enjoy.
The Movie festival is in line with a deliberate strategy by MultiChoice to provide quality content that aligns with the tastes and preferences of their wide customer base.
According to Rinaldi Jamugisa, the PR and Communications Manager at MultiChoice Uganda, the voting process is an avenue for customers to select from a wide array of content that Multichoice provides.
Stating, “At MultiChoice, we aspire to provide the very best in entertainment. Knowing that our customers have specific tastes and preferences, the Viewer’s Choice Movie Festival offers them the chance to pick and choose content that suits their specific needs. As a brand, it is very important for us to take advantage of such initiatives to understand our customers’ preferences better to allow us to tailor content to suit these various needs,” Jamugisa emphasized.
MultiChoice Uganda has continuously improved their service delivery in tune with changing trends to meet its customers at the point of need, which, according to Jamugisa, is meant to create seamless service delivery
“We have gone to lengths to ensure that our customers are getting specific content at their convenience. The new and improved DStv Stream is one such solution because it allows our customers to access content on their devices more conveniently. In Uganda, we have ensured that some local shows are translated into local languages to appeal to a wider audience and tailor the experience to our customers’ needs,” he said.
The festival is seen as a fun-filled opportunity for customers to collaborate with MultiChoice in creating the perfect movie line-up. This line-up is expected to cover multiple genres, including explosive action, heart-warming family favourites, and many others.
Voting for the festival started on 8th July 2024 and is expected to run until Monday 5th August 2024. The audience has the chance to vote for the movies that will light up M-Net Movies 4 (DStv Channel 108 and GOtv Channel 50) from Friday 4th October to Sunday 3rd November 2024.

Choose 5 movies from our selection of over 85 exciting movies from a mix of genres like Explosives (Plane, Retribution), On a Mission (The Bourne Franchise, Vendetta), Epic Battle (47 Ronin, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice), Animation (Angry Birds Movies, Minions), Assassin (John Wick Movies, Anna), Monsters & Creatures (Jurassic Park Franchise), and Comedy/Romance (Hitch, Crazy Rich Asians). These and many more will be part of the films that will headline this highly anticipated celebration of cinema.
