MultiChoice Uganda, the leading provider of Pay-TV entertainment, has launched its highly anticipated new comedy series, Elder’s Classroom, set to air on Pearl Magic Prime. This fresh, witty series is guaranteed to thrill fans and keep them laughing from start to finish!
Replacing Hotel Mara in the Friday night slot, Elder’s Classroom follows the humorous journey of Mzee Balikuddembe, a kind and generous elder who opens his home to Sekimpi, the son of his late best friend. Sekimpi, eager to honor his father’s legacy, transforms Mzee’s house into a unique school for the elderly and underprivileged. But beneath Sekimpi’s good intentions lies a comedic twist—he’s plagued by a history of gambling debts, and the chaos that ensues is both unpredictable and hilarious!
The series boasts an eclectic cast of characters, including the unforgettable Mr. Dodo, played by the late Kato Lubwama in a surprise posthumous appearance. This role adds an extra layer of nostalgia and excitement for fans of Ugandan entertainment, who fondly remember Kato Lubwama’s timeless contributions to comedy.
Produced and directed by Saabwe Conrad Lubwama, son of the late Kato Lubwama, Elder’s Classroom is a refreshing take on Ugandan comedy. The show is a testament to Saabwe’s emerging talent in the local film industry and a touching nod to his father’s legacy. With a cast of seasoned actors like Ssemakula Magombe as Gita Charles and Ronald Sekimpi, viewers are in for a delightful treat!
