Deejay Alisha Gives Life to Jesus Christ, Gets Baptised

Rwandan-born and Uganda-based content creator and DJ, Alisha, publicly declared her faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized on Sunday, January 26, marking a significant transformation in her life.

In a heartfelt post, Alisha shared her joy and gratitude, describing the baptism as a public affirmation of her newfound faith.

She reflected on her past struggles with lust and drunkenness, acknowledging the challenges she faced as she tried to navigate life without guidance.

“I’m overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. Getting baptized today was a public declaration of my faith and a reminder that I’m a new creation in Christ.I’m so thankful for God’s love and redemption in my life. ‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!’ ~ 2 Corinthians 5:17.”she noted.

Alisha went on to explain how she had lost herself in the world, searching for fulfillment in all the wrong places. Despite the pain, she spoke of God’s relentless pursuit of her, and how He never gave up on her.

“I tried to maneuver life on my own, and I failed terribly. I betrayed myself over and over again, but God kept chasing me. I looked for peace everywhere else, only to realize that it is only found in Him.”she added.

In an emotional moment, she recalled kneeling down and crying out to God for deliverance. “I was ashamed of who I had become. But God heard me and gave me a new identity in Him,” Alisha said. “I never imagined that at the start of 2025, my life would look like this. That’s how powerful God is. When He calls you, you must answer.”

Alisha acknowledged the road ahead will not be easy, but she is confident that with God’s strength, she can overcome any challenges. “He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world,” she said. “Thank you, God, for showing me mercy.”

Known for her work as a media personality on NRG Radio Uganda and her sultry DJ sets, Alisha has often caught attention for her bold dress style at events.

However, her baptism marks the beginning of a new chapter focused on her faith and personal transformation.
