Zuena Lashes at Internet Users Over Comments on Lynda Ddane’s Transformation

Zuena Kirema has criticized netizens for their relentless comments on Lynda Ddane’s physical transformation, urging people to be considerate of the unseen struggles others might be enduring.

“These comments about people’s appearances need to stop. You have no idea what silent battles they are fighting,” Kirema said, addressing remarks on a video post featuring Ddane, who has noticeably lost weight.

Ddane, a celebrated television presenter and deejay, has been the subject of intense social media scrutiny. The speculation about her health prompted her to publicly take an HIV test to dispel rumors. Prior to this, Ddane had already expressed her dismay over the negative focus on her changing appearance.

The vibrant TV personality and emcee has faced an outpouring of curiosity and concern from fans about her noticeable weight loss. Her extended absence from her NTV show further fueled speculation about her health.

While some fans offered support and encouragement, others speculated about possible health issues or unhealthy lifestyle choices, with some comments bordering on cruelty. Ddane has called out the insensitive remarks, describing them as dehumanizing. “I learnt that people can easily forget that others are human,” she shared.

Despite this, some social media users persisted in demanding answers. “People are just curious. They’ve seen you looking fine, and now something seems different. Do you really expect them to stay quiet about it?” one user wrote.

Amid the negativity, Phillip Kamugisha, a supportive fan, reassured Ddane with uplifting words: “Be reminded that people are mean and insensitive. You are strong, and victory is yours. God is on your side. Keep winning!”
