The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has announced the tragic death of its Entebbe Media Coordinator, Mr. Ndyaguma Justinian, who was fatally struck by a vehicle in Garuga, Entebbe, on Tuesday night.
According to PLU officials, the incident occurred when Justinian was knocked down by a Nissan vehicle bearing registration number UAU 713M.
He died at the scene.
PLU leader Frank Mwesigye confirmed the loss in a statement released Wednesday, expressing profound sorrow on behalf of the movement.
“It is with deep sorrow that I announce the untimely passing of the PLU Media Coordinator for Entebbe, Mr. Ndyaguma Justinian,” Mwesigye said.
He described the deceased as a dedicated, hardworking, and highly committed cadre who played a vital role in advancing PLU’s agenda and supporting the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) in the Entebbe area.
“We have lost a hardworking cadre, a dependable colleague, and a true patriot. His passion, loyalty, and selfless service to the cause will always be remembered,” Mwesigye added.
Justinian was widely regarded within PLU circles as one of the most active and reliable members in Entebbe, consistently contributing to media outreach, mobilization, and communication efforts.
Police from Entebbe Division have launched investigations into the circumstances of the crash.
Preliminary reports indicate the incident took place along a busy stretch of road in Garuga, though the exact cause—whether speeding, driver error, or other factors—remains under review.
Burial arrangements for Mr. Ndyaguma Justinian will be communicated to the public in due course, PLU officials stated.
The Patriotic League of Uganda, closely aligned with President Yoweri Museveni and the NRM, expressed condolences to the bereaved family, friends, and colleagues, describing the loss as a significant blow to the movement’s grassroots structures in Wakiso District.
