Buhimba United Saints Sack CEO Brendah Nyamwiza

Struggling Uganda Premier League side Buhimba United Saints have terminated the employment of their Chief Executive Officer, Brendah Nyamwiza, with immediate effect.

The decision was announced in an official press statement dated March 11, 2026, signed by club chairman Andwanaho Abivd.

Nyamwiza had been suspended on February 20, 2026, with the club notifying the FUFA Competitions Director at the time.

The primary reasons cited for her dismissal include; Continued absenteeism from her duty station in Buhimba, unauthorized removal of five players from the FUFA Connect registration system without the consent of club administrators and interference with club operations during her suspension period, including contacting players and diverting them from their duties, despite instructions to stay away pending investigations.

The statement emphasized that the deregistration disregarded the club’s significant financial investments in signing those players from other teams.

Interim arrangements have been made for operational continuity; Deputy CEO Helton Kyomugisa will oversee duties alongside Technical Director Kalumba James.

The club plans to advertise the CEO position soon.

The statement expressed appreciation for Nyamwiza’s previous contributions, with Chairman Abivd noting: “As Saints, we thank her for her past efforts and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

Buhimba United Saints, based in Kikuube District, are currently battling relegation. They sit in 14th place with 15 points and have gone eight league matches without a win.

Their latest defeat was a narrow 1-0 loss to BUL FC on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, heightening pressure as the season advances.

The administrative shake-up comes amid a challenging period for the club, which has faced various off-field issues in recent months.

No immediate response from Nyamwiza or further details on the deregistered players were included in the announcement.
