FUFA Appoints Sheba Ampaire Ronah as Deputy Chief Executive Officer

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has appointed Sheba Ampaire Ronah as the new Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO) as part of a major restructuring of its secretariat.

The appointment, which takes effect on April 1, 2026, aims to strengthen the federation’s top management, enhance professional governance, and improve service delivery across all areas of Ugandan football.

According to a statement from FUFA, Ampaire brings a wealth of experience in legal practice and football administration.

She joined FUFA in 2021 as Legal Officer, where she played a pivotal role in strengthening judicial processes, ensuring compliance with statutory and international regulatory frameworks, and promoting integrity, consistency, and accountability within the organisation.

“Sheba assumes the role with a strong background in legal practice and football administration, bringing a blend of regulatory expertise and strategic leadership to the FUFA Secretariat,” the federation stated.

In her new position, Ampaire will support Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson in overseeing key administrative and operational functions, including member relations, governance structures, and organisational development.

FUFA expects her leadership to help drive the federation’s vision of transforming Ugandan football into a professionally managed and commercially sustainable sector.

Ampaire holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Laws degree, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

She has also completed specialised training in football administration, including the FIFA Professional Club Management Certification and the FAMACO Level Three programme.

The appointment is part of a broader reorganisation of FUFA’s top management team announced recently by CEO Edgar Watson.
