SC Villa have secured the signature of striker Isaac Gumperom on a four-year deal as they prepare for the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season.

The 24-year-old forward joins the record league champions from Young Elephants Academy FC following a standout performance in the FUFA Big League.

Gumperom claimed the Golden Boot in the 2025/26 season after netting 17 goals, playing a key role in Young Elephants Academy FC’s successful campaign.

His arrival is set to bolster SC Villa’s attacking department as the Jogoos continue building their squad for the upcoming season.

The club views the prolific striker as a strong addition to increase competition in the forward line, which has already lost Charles Lwanga and Hassan Mubiru.

Gumperom becomes SC Villa’s second signing of the transfer window, following the arrival of John Assimwe (also known as John Asiimwe) from Express FC.

However, the club has also experienced several notable exits. Charles Lwanga and Elvis Ngonde moved to KCCA FC on free transfers, Diego Missi Ssemugera joined Kitara FC, and Hassan Mubiru signed with Tanzanian club Azam FC.

Last season, under head coach Kovacevic Zeljko, SC Villa finished third in the Uganda Premier League with 61 points from 30 matches — six points behind champions Vipers SC.

This signing marks another step in SC Villa’s efforts to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
