SC Villa have signed young midfielder Steven “Pivot” Mugisha as they prepare for the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season.

The 2006-born player has agreed to a four-year contract with the Jogoos after standing out as captain of Bulemeezi Ssaza during the Buganda Masaza Cup.

Mugisha, who previously played for Kira United, is expected to bring defensive solidity, leadership, and calmness to the SC Villa midfield.

The club highlighted his discipline, strong aerial presence, and ability to dictate play from deeper positions.

“It is a dream come true to join SC Villa. This is a club with a rich history, passionate supporters, and a winning culture,” Mugisha said following the transfer.

“I am ready to give my all for the badge and help the team achieve its objectives.”

This signing marks the latest addition to SC Villa’s squad.

The 17-time Uganda Premier League champions had earlier unveiled Isaac Gumperoni and John Assiimwe.
