Norman Angufindru has finalized his transfer to Kigezi HomeBoyz FC, the newly promoted Uganda Premier League club, agreeing to a two-year contract for the upcoming 2026/27 season.

The veteran goalkeeper arrives as a free agent after his contract with SC Villa expired.

He represents one of the latest recruits as the club bolsters its roster ahead of its debut season in Uganda’s top division.

At 30 years old, Angufindru possesses extensive experience in the top flight, having played for several teams including Ovujo United, Mvara Boys, Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), Calvary FC, Onduparaka FC, and SC Villa.

Over his three-year stint with the Jogoos, he secured the Uganda Premier League title along with the FUFA Super 8 trophy.

He also contributed to West Nile Province’s victory in the FUFA Drum Championship.

Renowned for his commanding presence between the posts, strong aerial prowess, sharp shot-stopping skills, and calmness in one-on-one duels, Angufindru is set to deliver valuable experience and leadership to the Kigezi HomeBoyz squad as they adapt to life in the elite league.

In comments following the signing, the goalkeeper shared his enthusiasm about the new chapter.

“I am excited to join the Gorillas family and I am looking forward to working together with everyone at the club. My goal is to help the team achieve success, give my all every day, and repay the confidence the club has shown in me. I thank the management for this opportunity,” Angufindru said.

Kigezi HomeBoyz secured promotion to the Uganda Premier League following a strong 2025/26 season.

The club has been proactive in the transfer window, aiming to assemble a competitive squad for this landmark campaign in the top flight.

Angufindru joins as another key addition, coming after the recent signing of defender Benjamin Gakumba.
