Kitara FC have officially signed striker Abdul Karim Ndugwa on a two-year contract as they prepare for the 2026/27 season.

The seasoned forward joins the Royals as a free agent after his contract with BUL FC expired.

Kitara managed to secure his services ahead of interest from several other clubs.

“It’s a joy for me joining Kitara FC. I hope we can achieve success together,” Ndugwa told the club’s media after finalizing the transfer.

Ndugwa brings considerable experience both in Uganda and overseas.

In his four seasons at BUL FC, he netted 25 goals in 62 appearances, proving himself as one of the league’s most reliable attackers.

The 28-year-old has previously played for several Ugandan clubs including SC Villa, URA FC, Express FC, Wakiso Giants, Mbarara City FC, Victors FC, Tooro United, Vipers, and Onduparaka.

He has also had stints abroad with AFC Leopards in Kenya, Hambericho FC in Ethiopia, and Horseed FC in Somalia.

This move reunites him with several familiar faces from the Bunyoro Province team in the FUFA Drum, including Jasper Aheebwa, Edson Agondeze, George Senkaaba, Missi Ssemugera, and Kabon Living.

Ndugwa represents the latest addition to Kitara’s squad as coach Wasswa Bbosa strengthens the team for a demanding campaign featuring the Uganda Premier League, CAF Confederation Cup, Stanbic Uganda Cup, and FUFA Super 8.

Last season, the Royals depended significantly on Patrick Kaddu, Jimmy Kalema, and George Senkaaba for goals, with Ndugwa expected to add more attacking options up front.
