Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have secured Nigerian centre-back Princewill Biweribo Tarabina on a two-year deal ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The 23-year-old arrives from Nigerian Premier Football League club Plateau United, where he featured in 20 league matches last season, scoring two goals and contributing two assists.

Tarabina earlier spent four seasons with Bayelsa United and adds top-flight experience to the Venoms’ back line.

Vipers head coach Denis Lavagne welcomed the new signing, noting that Tarabina will gain from working with the club’s seasoned centre-backs.

“I’m pleased that we have been able to add to our squad with the arrival of Princewill. He is a young talent who has experience at a high level,” Lavagne said.

Tarabina expressed excitement about joining his new teammates and helping the side retain the league title.“I am very happy to be part of the Vipers Sports Club family.

I know Vipers is a great club in Uganda and they were League champions last season, so we have to defend the title,” he said.

Standing at 1.86 metres, the defender is Vipers’ newest addition as the club builds its squad for the Uganda Premier League, Uganda Cup and CAF Champions League challenges.

He follows recent arrivals Loyce Mbaba, Nicholas Mwere, Jacques Mangoba, Joel Sserunjongi and Farouk Miya, while Cesar Manzoki has also returned to the club.
